Amalie, Anna (1723 c. -1787)

German, she was the Princess of Prussia. We know she received a musical education along with her brother, and learnt to play a number of instruments. She wrote sonatas, chorales and arias in an older style, but she became more original with maturity. She is most well known for her music library than her compositions, however her florid counterpoint is delicate and balanced.
