Bradford Women Singers

Brilliant group of eight women singers from Bradford in the North of England. Formed in 1984, the group members sing by ear and work collectively to develop their own arrangements. Their focus is on music that has real meaning for them, "songs about injustice and war, about the earth, love and hope". Outstanding at the choir festivals, their presentation is as memorable as the songs, beautifully crafted. Members are:
Anahita Hayrabedian, Carol Hayward, Helen Blackwell, Juliet Prager, Maggie Eisner, Mary Dowson, Suzanne Booth, Sue Wood. Their distinctive first cd is now available. Recommended.

Politics and Passion

On the cd cover, "passion" is written over "fashion"-a core message of this first cd by these skillful and committed musicians. Rich collection of arrangements and compositions, see track listings
